PURPOSE OF THE VOLUNTEER POSITION

Board of Directors brings unique abilities to the board and we strive for meaningful engagement to use these skills to contribute to the overall success of Survivor’s Hope Crisis Centre.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES OF THE POSITION

Directors are expected to attend meetings. A Director who misses three meetings in a row is asked to examine their commitment to the organization and their ability to offer their support at this time. A quorum of 50% plus one is required at meetings to do business.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND AGE REQUIREMENTS

Board of Directors must be 18 or older.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

Survivor’s Hope Crisis Centre Inc. (SHCC) is a sexual violence resource centre, serving those of all genders in the Interlake-Eastern Region of Manitoba. SHCC provides inclusive support and sexual assault crisis intervention to survivors and those affected by sexual violence through our SARAH program, acts as an education resource for schools through our SADI program, and engages community and service providers through our Reaching Out Program.

Location of Work: Board meetings are virtual.
Date: Board of Director meetings take place once every month or as required, with a break over the summer.
