PURPOSE OF THE VOLUNTEER POSITION

The purpose of the positions is to work with the Lac du Bonnet CDC as we host the Great Outdoors Expo in Lac du Bonnet. Volunteers will help ensure the successful operations of the event and enhance visitors’ experience at the Expo.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES OF THE POSITION

May 5

Setup – Loading and setting up tables, marking vendor booths, hanging banners, sweeping floors, etc. Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

May 6

50/50 Raffle Ticket Seller – Promote and sell 50/50 tickets in both event buildings. Time: 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM

May 7

50/50 Raffle Ticket Sellers – Promote and sell 50/50 tickets in both event buildings. Time: 10:30 PM to 4:00 PM

Door People – Accept payment, ensure people are provided wristbands when entering the event grounds, and sell 50/50 raffle tickets at the door. Admission is located outside in an Old Hickory Building shed, so please dress appropriately. Times: 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Cleanup/Tear Down – Loading and packing up tables, sweeping, packing up banners/displays, etc. Time: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND AGE REQUIREMENTS

Setup/Tear Down – Physically able to lift and carry tables and able to be to bend, crouch, and be on their feet for an extended period of time.

Door People – Friendly attitude, comfortable with handling money.

50/50 Raffle Ticket Sellers – Outgoing energy, comfortable with handling money, able to be on their feet for an extended period of time.

TRAINING AND TOOLS PROVIDED

All supplies will be provided. A brief training will be provided before the start of your shift. The Volunteer Coordinator will be onsite for support throughout the Expo.
